Week Nine

Is it too early to call conference title games? I know this is Wilk,so it might be too early, but who cares. Lets start with the PAC- 10, it is going to be Washington and USC. Cal and Stanford could not do it today and Cal still have to play Oregon State. In the ACC I am calling Maryland and UNC in the CC game. The big games are tonight to determine who goes to that game. In the Big XII, it is a toss up at this point but that will not stop me from picking the Cornhuskers and the Sooners going at it for Big XII supremacy. Big East is going to be West Virginia and DePaul, and I think West Virginia will win it, they figured out how to do it. In the B1G it is going to be Michigan and Penn State. Ohio State was having a great season but that was put to a stop by Penn State. The Michigan coach has figured out a few things and I think this is his year. Conference USA will see the same two team in the CC game, Huston and Memphis. New coach at Memphis but the same result as the previous few years. Ohio will be taking on one of the Michigan schools in the MAC CC. The Ohio coach has been talking about winning out this season, so be on the lookout for his squad. Tennessee will make the SEC CC and will face LSU, but I think Alabama will make the NC game. Navy will fall to Troy State in the CC, they have already lost to them this season and it will not change in the CC. Hawaii will continue to dominate the WAC and it will be the fourth CC in a row for them. They have been able to attract great coaches the last few seasons.

It happens in real life, so should not be too surprising when it happens in GD, right?

Washington put on a clinic in their match up against Cal. Them Bears could not maul nobody like they did Leonardo. Francis was just plain on fire, they had to call the fire department and even they could not put him out. I think only USC can put him out, we will see how that goes. The only way to beat awags and the juggernauts he builds is to have a game like Brandon had, as a LB I think he out performed himself and with his production I think blitziscomin would have wanted to have such output from his guys in the games he lost.

Them Clemson boys managed to beat a ranked BC program who has been having a good season. It takes a lot to do as BC is usually stacked with talent and Clemson has a hard time accumulating good talent with schools everywhere. So good job boys and now you have to keep it up. William had to bring his boy back from the brink of defeat. Mr. Howard broke hearts today in their game against the 'Cuse. The ' Cuse were looking good for a win but it was not to be. West Virginia always seems to figure out how to win their conference games. Penn State dented the chances of Ohio State making the NC game and this is after we talked about them the other day. I think the result might just show exactly were Ohio State is at this point in time.

Wayne Roberts earned his scholarship today. The young man ran for 311 yards on 69 carries, yes you read that right 69 carries. There are some teams that run that many plays in a game, and that is just the number of times he touched the ball. that is amazing. Coach McBethbr, put the team on his back and said lets go. William Moore at Boise had a very productive day, 13 tackles in a single game, and he was not done, he had to get 3 sacks and a safety because he is a well rounded fella he also wants to put points on the board.

The Rutgers game will go a long in either cementing Jeremy as the best player or as a pretender. He will need to show up for his team in this game, and it will not be an easy game.

The QB who has the better game will be in the driver's seat for the Heisman. I think the Heisman trophy will be won by a Big East player and it might be decided in this game too.

In a big game like the one he just had you would have expected Jerome stepping up to cement himself as the best out there but it was not to be. The young man might be a pretender, with the 47% completion rate. This was a season defining game and he went with the wrong definition.

Things do not get any easier for Bill, he leaves Syracuse with a W, and faces UConn who are no joke. This young man needs to have another great game to give his team another W and maybe move up the list for himself.

Fully expected Aaron Ritter to have amassed more than 1000 yards by this time of the season. Karl Burgess has fallen a bit on this list and I wonder if he will ever get back towards the sharp end of it. Wayne Roberts holds it down for all the mid majors out there, along with Kyle Marrero. Robert Smith holds it down for all the defensive players out there. It is rare to see a defensive player in the running for the Heisman.

The DBs usually come down to cover TEs and hat is why we have them together here so that you can see who will be matching up and deciding games. I know DBs usually stay with the WRs but that means the TE usually is open and the safities scramble to get there and cover them.

Which combination of QB and RB do you want in your back field? I think whatever combination you go you are going to win a lot of games. Can I just have all of them on my team?

Only 3 WRs from teams that run the shotgun? I was expecting more of them to be on the list.

Love how the DL fill most of the spots on this list, they rarely get love them big boys. The list is almost always guaranteed to have a Sooner LB because of the various schemes their coach runs, they allow his players to make plays and standout that much more.

They players that will stand out the most are the ones who touch the ball the most and in this game that is gong to be you QB and RB for the most part but I love to see that we have some DL on the list.

That is enough of that, this should have gotten your week started of right. Until the next time, take it easy.
