Howbout some D-2 Love?

The D-2 Coaches have a fever…….and the only prescription is some content! So I’m back. Married life is wonderful and that’s why I’ve been MIA.

So I’m doing a Wilkinson OOC top 10 review!

This season has gotten off to an “Oh so familiar start”. The top 25 is almost a who’s who of Wilk D-2 Programs. You have a lot of the “Blue Bloods”. The season has only been underway for 5 games but if you take a close look at the top 10, you’ll see some new blood.

10. Kentucky State 5-0; SOS 74

go4itjim has turned his Kentucky State team into a playoff staple by appearing in the last 2 playoffs, however none of his teams have finished in the top 10. He has yet to sniff out a playoff win yet but I’m sure he’s well on his way. He has beat 4 sims and also took out tmelonhead and his Minnesota State Moorhead team with a score of 48-15.

Tough Remaining Games Week 8 vs St. Joes; Week 9 at Tuskegee.

9. W. VA Wesleylan 5-0; SOS 87

slider64er is one of the Wilk D-2 Blue Bloods. His team year in and year out perform at a high level. Every year he is a threat to win it all. Some might ask "how is he rated so high when he has only played sims?"….First those people need to challenge him in a OOC game and second look at those scores 94-0, 122-0, 108-0! I see why he doesn't get human OOC games. Probably no one excepts them.

Tough Remaining Games Week 7 vs Carson Newman.

8. Winona State 5-0; SOS 70

SchoolyMe was able to get a hold of a quality program (some will say poached) by leaving Cheyney. He has two sim wins this season and has beat #11 Augustana coached by webewinnin soundly 46-5, Lock Haven coached by returning coach albright73 35-24, and a close tough road win against Millersville coached by 4real 16-10. If he can handle the "West" Brothers, SchoolyMe might have locked himself into a nice seed primed for a playoff run.

Tough Remaining Games: Week 6 at West Virginia State; Week 7 against West Liberty State.

7. Colorado-Mines 5-0, SOS 64

BigZeke turned some heads last year taking a big sophomore class to the 3rd round but he has his team rolling this year. He has 4 sim wins but beat powerhouse Northwood coached by wareagle399 like a drum 44-3. Coaches must like recruiting out West or playing in a conference with a powerhouse like Zeke because his conference is weak sauce.

Tough Remaining Games: None

6. Valdosta State 4-1, SOS 3

Columbus Buck comes in at #6 and is the only team with a loss in the top ten. CB has stated this might be his last year at recruiting mecca VSU, but we’ll see if he actually moves up or not. CB took on no sims in OOC games. He beat Central Oklahoma coached by Springer0432 45-3, beat Long Island coached by abdfl 50-14, Lock Haven coached by albright73, and Northwood coached by wareagle399. His only loss was an unlucky road loss to Tuskegee coached by bigkeithdog (That guy stinks) 35-24.

Tough Remaining Games: Week 9 against Delta State; Week 12 at Henderson State.

5. Slippery Rock 5-0, SOS 37

The Champ is Here!!! I said The Champ is here!! Slippery Rock comes in at #5 after disposing of 2 sim teams and also beating Minnesota State Moorhead coached by tmelonhead 59-14, Humboldt State coached by first year coach there bigpoppa85 51-24, and Central Arkansas coached by btgraves 43-14. He hasn’t had a close game all year and is looking to repeat.

Tough Remaining Games: None

4. Tuskegee 5-0, SOS 23

Bigkeithdog is one lucky coach. By the end of the year, he’ll be out of the top 10. He has three sim wins and had to sweat out wins against Columbus Buck and his Valdosta State Team 35-24, and then he lucked out against New Guy and his Delta State team 45-31. If he even makes the playoffs, don't expect him to go far....like usual!

Tough Remaining Games: Week 9 against Kentucky State.

3. Texas A&M Kingsville 5-0, SOS 2

Strieffman is one of the most underrated coaches in D-2 Wilk. He has 11 consecutive playoff appearances coming out of the tough Lonestar Conference. He beat one sim team in Week 5. The rest of his wins are against some of the biggest names and programs in D-2!! He beat West Liberty State coached by rs78rs78 27-20, St Joe’s coached by Gators06 27-22, Indianapolis coached by Alphaflight 30-16, and drubbed Humboldt State coached by big poppa 56-21.

Tough Remaining Games: None

2. South Dakota 5-0, SOS 12

No D-2 list is complete without South Dakota. Always a top performer on the field and the recruiting trail. This year, Jmurphy was able to beat three sims. He also beat the “Good team gatekeeper” West Chester coached by stamps 31-20. He also beat Winston-Salem State coached by former rookie coach of the year texasksa 73-21. The expectations there are championship or bust. Let's see if JMurphy can bring one home this year.

Tough Remaining Games: None

  1. Stonehill 5-0, SOS 4

McBethbr fills the top spot in this poll. The last time this school didn’t make the playoffs was season 105!!! This year shouldn't end the streak either. Mcbethbr has this team rolling with one sim win as well as victories/massacres over/against Western Oregon coached by enforcer84 87-13, Gannon coached by Coach G72 67-0, Southern Arkansas coached by dkj125 90-0, and Augustana coached by webewinnin 52-23.

Tough Remaining Games: None

Good Job Guys to all of the coaches in the top ten!!!!

I'll try to get some more content out there.
