Cowboy's week 6 roundup

Taking a week 6 look at all the DIA coaches "In Jeopardy". #90 UNLV, coach johnnydancer (4-2) Been with the Rebels since s105, but 3 straight losing seasons without bowls. Ranked #90 but UNLV is 4-2. Ahead: 4 humans and 3 sims to go. He could lose to all the humans and still make a bowl. Won't be surprised for a bowl win to keep coach JD's job in the WAC. Outlook: In fair shape. #76 Central Michigan, coach chris6969 (4-2) 4th year at CMU, 3 straight losing seasons. Rough go of it since leaving ECU to take over Virginia. 4-2 with a win over his old ECU team. Ahead: 3 humans and 4 sims. So long as he beats all the sims, coach C should make a bowl and in the MAC, any bowl win will give him a good shot to stay. Outlook: In fair shape. #58 Connecticut, coach stoopsie (3-3) 4th year at UConn, the former Miami coach has yet to turn the corner with the Huskies and the AD hasn’t seen much more success than the fired coach he replaced, douglaslee. Ahead: Humans. 7 Big East human coaches. Needs to beat 4 of them. Not impossible, but each game ahead will be the biggest of the season. Upside is, 4 wins vs teams of this quality should result in a decent bowl. Now, just gotta win. Outlook: The odds are stacking against coach stoopsie. #43 Washington, coach cjl9652 (2-4) Been with the W since s111. Been bowling, but last top 25 finish was 6 seasons ago. Rough start to s131 with 3 losses to teams the Huskies had reasonable hopes to beat: Baylor, Memphis and Virginia Tech. Ahead: 3 sims, 4 humans. Winning out vs sims won’t be enough to make a bowl. Best case scenario, coach cjl needs to beat 2 of these human coached teams: #25 Stanford, Arizona, Oregon and #12 Cal. Worst case scenario, will need to beat 3 of them. Outlook: It's Washington vs the world at this point. #37 Missouri, coach leinbacker (4-2) 5th season at Missouri. 4 bowls and winning seasons since taking over, but no top 25 finishes. A couple bounces, and the Tigers could be 6-0. This could be a turning-the-corner season. Ahead: 2 sims, 5 humans. Needs to beat one human for bowl eligibility, but aside from Texas being the toughest out, Missouri has a chance to beat the rest, even including a stumbling Nebraska (which would be huge for the program). Outlook: In decent shape. #6 Baylor, coach arcadecowboy (5-1) 5th season. Bowling the last 2 seasons, but no top 25 finishes. The current top 10 ranking is a big stretch, but the Bears have played above expectation thus far, winning 5 games against evenly matched teams. Ahead: 2 sims, 5 humans. 3 of them elites. A virtual lock for a bowl, but fighting for a better one. Punching up vs the remaining human teams, but may get lucky. Outlook: In decent shape.
