Division 2 – The Building Programs

I picked out a handful of programs that are in various stages of building. These are teams that were Sim run and had nothing but SimAI players on the roster. These are just a few teams that we could be talking about down the road as these coaches build and establish their programs.

It can be more difficult at the Division 2 level to close the gap between the top teams and those building but it is far from impossible. Top teams at the D1AA level have downward pressure from the D1A schools that the upper teams at the division 2 level do not have.

Without further ado, some teams to watch in the upcoming seasons:

Winston-Salem State coached by texasksa. They did make the playoffs each of their two seasons and won a conference championship in their first. This is the third season under the program and the recruit classes have been steadily improving under GUESS, so it looks like the coach is taking advantage of their vision increases.

Carson-Newman coached by jay9. Has pulled in a 35th and 29th ranked recruiting class to start his coaching tenure. That is the beginning of a nice foundation for the school in Jefferson City, TN. Has only one human on his schedule so should be able to reel of a nice record and qualify for the playoffs in season 2.

Central Arkansas coached by btgraves. Stumbled out of the gate a bit in his first season, landing a class above 100, but has strung together two classes in the 30’s for the Bears. Seven games against humans and some of them are winnable so a 10-3 record is not out of the question and with a SOS with that many humans could make the Bears eligible for the playoffs.

Central Oklahoma coached by Springer0432. Really challenged himself with three difficult OOC contests to balance out a conference schedule with only one human to face. No one in the LSC has yet to establish themselves as the dominant program in the conference, so there is an opportunity to make a move up. Had to pull the Broncos from the abyss, as they were GUESS ranked 120 in their first season, now sitting at 29th.

Ashland coached by princegibson and West Alabama coached by mr_mojo. I believe both coaches have returned to the game after a hiatus, but they can coach, recognize talent and win games. Both these programs have the potential to take some leaps in the near future.
