Battle Maze Vol. 3

Are you ready to ruuuuuuummmmmbbbbbbbbbbllllllllllllleeeeee. We are in the home stretch and the rumble in the jungle of recruiting is getting intense. Now might be late to go find some back ups, so you want to make sure you win your battles. Keep spending that money but spend it wisely my friends as it runs out quicker than you can imagine. I think at this point everyone has locked up most of the guys they need, well I hope at least.

Today we are going to look at the remaining 5 top 200 recruits. Some of these guys have appeared before on the Maze. They have been doing their leg work and thus they are back. Below we have the list of the 5 recruits:

Like I said before some of these guys should look familiar, and so do some of the schools. Now with that in mind why don't we talk more about the recruits and schools we did not talk about in Vol. 2. Now starting there we are going to start of by talking about Ronnie. Ronald Hoffman is a Minnesota boy out of Rochester. Ronald went to Studio Academy high school. Not sure if it matters what high school a recruit went too. I wonder if anyone has ever looked into the high schools that produce the best talent. I bet there are schools out there that are just factories for studs. Back to our boy Ronnie polony, (yes that is a real word, it is a delicious food). Ronnie has some really good numbers, he has speed, strength, elusiveness, game instinct and he can tackle. His work ethic is good too, but that technique is low, but the boy has hands. With his hands and game instinct I expected him to have more picks but what do I know. He has a few sacks and a ton of tackles. The boy Ronnie is durable and has some stamina to him, also take a look at that athleticism, not bad hey. Ronnie seems to have some good grey and white matter between his ears, it is decent enough for him to have a 2.9 GPA and that coupled with his work ethic I think he should be able to pick up new stuff well enough. Imagine if he has above average potential, this guy might turn into a super dupa linebacker.

We already know Notre Dame is in a few battles and we talked about them in the last volume. Here we see another battle that the Irish are involved in. The Irish have battles on their hands. I know yesterday I was on the Notre Dame train to win their battles but now with this new battle I don't know. They might win two at most of their battles I think but I could be wrong. They already have an awesome class and adding these three would take them over the moon in my opinion. Wisconsin only needs 3 more guys and one of them is Ronnie boy. The schools have the same number scholarships and the same amount of bowl money. If they were going for the same guys and spending similar amounts on them we might have been able to test the age old question, do elites have a recruiting advantage over the BCS schools. We would also know how much you have to out spend an elite to land a guy. I know you are saying there is a distance element to the recruiting issue, I know but imagine if it was a guy who is equidistant from both schools, now wouldn't that be interesting.

We are going to talk a bit about Johnnie boy. John Sanders has some legs on him, speed of 87, strength of 77, blocking of 70, hands of 73, 78 elusiveness and 75 technique. Those are some good numbers, no wonder there are two coaches going at it for his services for the next 4 years. John is a Colorado boy which makes me think that Colorado State will win out this battles as they are closer to him. They might not have enough money leftover after this long recruiting season. I am not sure who will come out on top but like I said before CSU should be able to land the young man. Living in Fort Collins, CO is awesome, you have breweries everywhere and you are close to the mountains to go hiking if you want. There is plenty to do in the area, and you can just drive down to Denver for some more fun. It is only an hour away and there is an international airport if the young man decides to go globe trotting. I would suggest everyone to go globe trotting at least once in their life. There is so much out there to pick up, from food, to languages and cultures and needless to say the people.

We are not going to talk about the other guys as they were covered already. You guys do not need me to be going on and on about them, right? We are coming close to the end of recruiting and with that in mind I say to you guys get the exihibition games scheduled and also the OOC games for next season sorted out. You want to test you team and see were you stand. Knowing were you stand can help you with you recruiting for the next season already. It is a good starting point. So guys get ready for all the games that are now going to be coming thick and fast. I wish everyone all the best unless you are going to face my Aggies then I wish you the worst luck ever.
