Leahy Invasion
Good Morning, Afternoon, Evening or whenever you read this. We had an incredible season in D-2 at Wilkinson. Our playoffs were stacked, featured plenty of upsets, and St. Joseph’s came out on top. Buuuuuut that was last year and this season will bring on plenty of challenges!
One of the challenges for coaches here in Wilkinson will be the “Leahy Invasion”. I don’t say this in a negative way because these coaches are good coaches (a lot better than me).
A few months ago, the Wilkinson World and the Leahy World squared off in the Forums. After a few weeks the pestering back and forth got tiring. However, the good by product of it is we had a great influx of new coaches. Some of these new coaches were from Leahy and they have made their way up to D-2. I’m pretty sure these schools will be pitstops on their way to D-1A. Here are a few names that might ring a bell.
Coach: Chrondon84
Team: Lock Haven
Previous Team and Record: Wilmington 12-4
If you’ve listened to the Coffee and Chronic Hour with Chrondon84, you already know his exploits. If you’ve played against him in other worlds, you already know the skills! Chrondon84 takes over the Lock Haven squad that made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs last year. He has 4 teams spread across different worlds but he has done most of his damage in Leahy. His 487 - 210 record with 8 Conference Championships and 1 National Championship should not be taken lightly!
Coach: PaulSuberlak
Team: Truman State
Previous Team and Record: Tufts 17-1
Another successful Leahy Coach that has moved up to Wilk D-2 is PaulSuberlak. In Leahy, he heads up Oklahoma and in the last 2 years he has made the Rose Bowl and the National Championship Game. He hasn't tasted a championship yet but he does boast a 243-77 Leahy record winning 6 Conference Championships and has made the playoffs in every one of his 22 seasons except one. He's taking over a Truman State squad that went 9-5 last year coached by Tutank and previously was coached by "The Coach that will go nameless". He plans to move up to D-1A but let's see how he does here first.
Coach: AlekTx2015
Team: Tarleton State
Previous Team and Record: Hobart 15-1
The final highlighted new coach in D-2 is AlekTx2015. He’s the Leahy World’s biggest advertiser and works extremely hard to boost up that world. Some people didn’t enjoy his brashness but you can’t badmouth his game. He boasts a 138 - 57 record in Leahy and he just won his first Conference Championship like he said he would do. He takes the reins at Tarleton State and is sure to make some noise in the playoffs.

Remember the Titans
Another one of the biggest challenges this season in D-2 will be the Return of the Titans. Some of the biggest names and best coaches in Gridiron Dynasty are returning to Wilkinson. A lot of the returns to D-2 are very eye-popping! Here is a list of these coaches and a brief description of their accomplishments.
Coach: Mojolad
Team: Henderson St.
Previous Team and Season: Tarleton St Season 111
Bad News for Gulf State Conference members. One of the highest rated Guess Teams loses their terrific coach in GTDeuce and replaces him with another terrific coach in Mojolad. In 26 seasons coaching in Wilk, his record is only 241-128 with 3 conference championships, however overall in GD his record is an astounding 6059-1480 that includes 34 championships. He brings lots of experience and knowledge to the GSC. Good luck this year!
Coach: Alphaflight
Team: Stonehill
Previous Team and Season: Syracuse Season 129
You don’t see a lot of coaches go from D-1A to D-2, so the move of Alphaflight has gained a lot of attention from the coaches in the Northeast-10. With 48 seasons under his belt, alphaflight has achieved some success winning 492 games in Wilk to include 12 Conference Championships and 2 National Championships. Alphaflight’s overall Gridiron Dynasty record is 1116-592. It will be great to see if he can keep the machine at Stonehill rolling. Good Luck this year.
Coach: Nelsonba25
Team: Slippery Rock
Previous Team and Season: Tusculum Season 64
I don’t think a lot of people saw this coming. After a 66 season hiatus Nelsonba25 is back to Wilkinson! His 14 consecutive seasons of championships are legendary. His 353-13 Wilk record is exceptional. His overall Gridiron Dynasty record of 4339-747 with 70 National Championships is almost unfathomable. The big question is can he do it again at “The Rock”?
