Jabbering JAG 129.7 (It Comes Down to This)

Well fellas as we prepare for the post season, in what seemed to be an extremely quick season in Wilkinson let's take a look at the games that still carry some "weight" in deciding who will make their respective conference title games.

A10 - #12 Villanova (6-1) hosting #25 William & Mary (6-1) - The first of our winner take all games features two squads who have been playing lights out in the later part of conference play. Both teams lost in conference during inter-division play. Nova lost by six to Richmond and W&M lost to Maine by nine. William & Mary appears to have a slight edge in stats but they also have a slightly lower SOS. This one will come down to the wire as both teams have a lot on the line. Nova 30-27

Big Sky - #23 Portland State (6-1) @ St. Mary's (5-2) - These two Big Sky rivals always play tough. Last season SMU got the better of PSU on their way to a CC berth. They have the same stakes on the line in this game. PSU has one conference loss to Texas State by seven. SMU has struggled in their couple losses in conference play but overall have played quite well this season. Spcbuzzard's players would like to send their coach out with a huge win in this key game.

PSU 28-24

Gateway - With UNI sweeping their division and YSU having a sim filled division the CC is already set here.

Ivy - Princeton (6-1) vs Cornell (6-1) - This game could generate an interesting situation in the Ivy. Cornell needs to win a CC to make the playoffs and Princeton can probably sneak in even with a loss in the CC, if they lose both... they are done. Cornell is in their second year of a rebuild and have their best season since 121 but would love to add a CC appearance. Princeton won the CC two seasons ago and they would love to get their second in three seasons. Both defenses look vulnerable but Princeton appears to have a stronger offense, who will make more plays?

Princeton 34-27

MEAC - #18 Duquesne (7-0) @ La Salle (6-1) - One of the most interesting rosters in DIAA in Duquesne goes head to head with a team in the midst of a rebuild. Duquesne comes in undefeated in conference play. La Salle comes in coming off a surprising loss after having looked solid in conference play. La Salle would need to win this and probably win the conference title to make the playoffs. Neither team has played an extremely tough SOS and they will have to bring it all in this game. Duquesne 30-21

NEC - Albany swept their division and so did Lehigh so this conference title matchup is already set.

OVC - This conference title also appears to be set. Barring anything crazy in EIU's or EKU's last game against a human, those two will meet in the CC.

PFL - With San Diego going undefeated and Jacksonville winning the head to head vs Davidson this conference title game is slated.

SoCon - Northwestern State has had their side locked up for a couple of days now and with a win today by Western Carolina they have punched the other ticket to the CC.

SWAC - #4 Texas Southern (7-0) @ Liberty (7-0) - Both of these teams played pretty tough OOC games. For TSU things didn't get much easier in conference as they had a few of tough games. Liberty got blessed with a sim filled conference schedule until their final two games. With a win over Grambling today, Liberty remained undefeated in conference to play undefeated TSU. Liberty would need to win this game and the CC to make playoffs and 1lanceman is 3-4 against nitros. This one could spice things up a little.

TSU 34-20
