The Rumble in the Maze
The first 24 hours are done and now the next crucial 24 hours are upon us. We have already gone through a good junk of the second 24 hours. From what I have seen thus far it might be an interesting 24. It is time to hold your breath and hope, because the royal rumble is upon us people. Everyone is flexing their muscles to try and set themselves up for the future.
Everyone by this point hopefully has a few guys green and I think they are hoping nobody comes in on them. Battles for the talent have started in the Royal Rumble ring called Wilkinson. We now have the same resources and a higher demand for them. Everyone wants a quality recruit to build their team around in the hope they can take them to the promised land. There are some good battles brewing already and they look like good ones, boy oh boy. We are going to look at the QBs we talked about before to see how far off we were.
With regards to Victor Compton, I had Boston College going for him and look at that, I got one right, they are on him. I thought Temple might jump on him but maybe they found somebody better or did not spend enough on him to begin with. BC is battling Syracuse and this should be a good battle. BC has more schollies and might be able to flex a bit more on Syracuse in this battle but don't know how many battles both teams are involved in. In this battle I would say BC will win in the end but I expect a tough battle from Syracuse. I do not know the potential for Victor because if it is not that good then there are a few QBs out there for either team to fall back on. Like I said before I might risk some walk-ons for this guy because I love his numbers.
William Tyson has Stanford and a Sim AI on him, which should be knocked off. I had Stanford as definitely needing to pick up another QB and with Tyson I think they have a stud, though I am curious about his potential. I am surprised the Trojans did not jump on him but they managed to pick up the other QB on my top 5 list Claude Hagan. Both schools have managed to get themselves some good QBs and I think it will be interesting to see how they develop. Things might just have gone up a notch in temperature out west with the talent being picked up. Everyone needs to have a good QB and talent around him to compete with the current champs some competition. The champs already have a good QB core and with the other power houses picking up talented QBs, the conference out west is one to keep an eye on.
Tennessee and Clemson are battling over John Rosario who is in Tennessee. I did not have either of these schools looking at him. Like I told you guys before, what do I know. I had Alabama jumping on him as they need a QB but they did not make it on to the final 2 list. Notre Dame saw Robert Stephenson as too good not to jump on. They jumped on him quick and he has been green to them the whole time I think. His numbers were too good for them not to try and get their hands on. Stephenson is almost 300 miles from The Fighting Irish but they still said gatta have that guy. I wonder if there was nobody better close.
From this little excersice of trying to determine who people are going to go for I have realized I do not know jack. I actually do not know a Jack. There are a lot of battles out there and everyone vying for the same guys which makes things that much more interesting. The season has truly started now, the battles start off with recruits and then move to the field were games are actually won. I hope everyone wins their battles except the guys I am battling. I want all of you to lose to me and have me standing alone as the winner of our Royal Rumble. Happy hunting everyone
