Week 5 Awards

I think there is no better place to start than with the UNC and USC game. Who saw that coming? This game is weird. USC is stacked and yet they still lost the game. I think the UNC coach deserves all the credit for getting his boys fired up. They were not lucky either, they truly won the game in all departments. Thy beat the team that has made the NC game 4 seasons in a row. That is a season signature win but I am sure UNC has sights on the ACC title again. Based on the results thus far, the smart money is on them to get the title back. Another ACC school of interest is the FSU squad, they have had a rough start to the season. I think with that in mind they made the OOC for next season easier so that they do not go through this again. The Irish need to wake up, because a lot of teams were counting on them for their SOS. Any way lets get to what you came here for, them awards.

We are going to look at the players of the week first and then go from there, you should know how this goes already.

Elmer earned his scholarship today, carrying his team to the promised land, a win over a juggernaut. Well done son. Larry had a good day too. Larry put a new coach under pressure already. The pressure is now on for these boys to repeat these sort of performances.

DePaul might be one to look out for, this season in the Big East, they have a solid roster and a good coach. The true challenge starts for them now, seven straight human coach in conference play on top of the three straight they just went through. I think with this schedule they win out and they make the NC game, easy. Adam put the hurting on the 'Cuse today, hookem might still be feeling this one. It was over by halftime, but the boys still came out for the second half. Might this be the year we look towards Ohio State to make noise in the B1G? I think it is about time for them to win a CC, I know that is easier said than done. With the Irish seemingly having a down season they just have to get past Penn State and there is a blueprint out there for how to do it.

The Sooners continue to do their thing this season. I wonder how many times a Sooner has not won either of these awards this season. I think they will be passing these awards in Norman like you know what else gets passed around. The Tide are also looking good for this season, but that loss will still be hurting them. Troy State is back at it again this season. With the way things change in Wilk, I would not want to bet against Troy State making noise when it comes to the NC, they were close last season and I think this might be their season. If not them, then who? The coach did say he will not leave until they win the NC, so I think he is going balls to the wall for it this season, though the SOS might hurt them a bit.

This is what everyone wants and here it is. There have been some changes to the list as you would expect, Wilk is always shifting.

John is just torching defenses up this season, and the new Missouri coach will be under pressure already with this young man coming after is team. What a way to start conference play for the newest Big XII coach.

Jerome is going to put up massive numbers in the next game against Kentucky, now should those count towards his numbers for the Heisman? Let us know what you think.

Washington get ready to face a guy who is looking to bounce back and move up this list. I think he will run through walls from here on out because he want to get that trophy.

I can not wait for the game between USC and Stanford, it will determine a lot of things, who goes to the PAC-10 CC, who likely wins the Heisman. No pressure Ralph.

Karl needs to take out his frustrations from the loss today and Washington look out. With a trip to the NC almost evaporated, this is the trophy Karl will want to get his hands on now.

Wayne will be moving up this list, his team is just doing its thing. They have a few pivotal games coming up and I expect him to shine. John will need to do a bit more to move up the list, the Big East players will have a tough time to move up the list since the schools will beat each other up.

Troy State and Houston representing for the mid majors. Only two elites represented on this list for now.

Defense wins championships and these players should be able to carry their programs far. I like the diversity in the positions and schools on the list.

This is the list of future NFL divas, everyone knows wide receivers are divas and I bet winning this trophy will just take the divaness to the next level when they get to the next level.

I wonder how many of these boys fancy themselves a Gronk. I think they need to be a Tony Gonzalez first and then they can Gronk out.

We are all familiar with Aaron and I like his odds of winning this than the Heisman. He will have stiff competition though.

Now we have the list of the best failed wide receivers, I am sure they will love hearing that. They are failed WRs but they can get you some big possessions in games.

The fellas with the responsibility to carry a program to the promised land are here for us to admire. We need to have a list of were these guys will be drafted come the end of the season. We need a GD Mel Kiper Jnr.

Okay, enough of that. Time for you to get back to the real world so until the next time, take it easy.
