Genuvar Pre-Season All- Americans
A new season is upon us and that means tears will be falling, keyboards will be destroyed, there will be hair loss as well. People will question their sanity, they will question if machines are fit to takeover if they can not figure out that their team is clearly better. Some will just resign to their fate and others will try to fight it. I am not sure were I stand but to kick things off, here is a look at a handful of young man from whom a lot is expected. The list was compiled by the great genuvar himself and he decided to share it with you all.
QB: William Howard, TEMPLE, SR.*
Howard returns to Temple in his 4th and final season with husker1111, bringing a ton of experience with 40 starts and 12641 yards over the last 3 years. Expect him to rack up the numbers in this high-powered offense already throwing for 9 TDs and 1145 yards in exhibition.
RB: Christopher Miller, NEBRASKA, JR.*
New coach lsusaint will look to use Miller as the focal point of his offense, utilizing his skills as a runner and receiver to terrorize defenses. Miller will be adding to a great career at Nebraska where he has seen action as a #2 and sub but will now be the lead man. Miller has 28 starts but only 1518 all-purpose yards over his first 2 seasons.
RB: Richard Guidry, Alabama, SR.*
There should be an asterisk next to RB for Guidry. Coach awags is known for being pass happy and using his RBs to catch passes instead of pounding in the trenches. Guidry returns for his senior year and finally no longer has to look up on the depth chart. He is probably the best RB in the nation and should be the primary target for a very powerful Alabama team while he looks to add to his 51 TDs in only 29 starts.
WR: Joseph Henry, ALABAMA, SR.*
The Crimson Tide’s gun-slinging offense brings back its top WR threat in Henry, and as a favorite target of the offense, if a RB doesn’t get the ball it’s probably going to this guy. His 20.3 yards per catch a year ago is crazy high compared with most primary receivers asked to handle his volume of targets.
WR: Paul Lowery, PENN STATE, SR.*
After starting 14 games as a redshirt freshman, Lowery’s starts dipped but his numbers increased gathering up over 24 TDs and 1294 yards as part of sub packages. This season he returns to a passing game, and a team coming off an NC, where he should produce plenty of big plays and be a primary target.
TE: Bernard Mobley, FRESNO ST, SR.*
The 6' 4", 232-pound senior only found the end zone 8 times in the past 3 seasons over 42 starts, but he delivers when needed and is a cornerstone of the offense. He will be invaluable as a blocker and receiver as ddeane1 tries to take back the WAC championship.
OT: William Kelley, PENN STATE, SR.
Kelly is well on his way to becoming selected in the first round of the NFL draft since. Starting in 38 games over the past 3 seasons he has been key in bringing 2 bowl wins and NC to the Nittany Lions.
G: David Martin, LSU, JR.
Martin has started all 28 games since joining the Tigers. He looks continue protecting QBs for coach mpmershon as the best big guy in the lineup. LSU has won 2 bowl games with Martin in the lineup and he will be a key part of the offense if they are to win the SEC.
C: Scott Hardy, Tennessee, JR.
Jasonfreeman is the new coach of Tennessee and Hardy is ready to support him as an integral part of the offensive line. Hardy brings 28 starts and a wealth of experience blocking out of the pro-set offense.
G: Mario Vincent, USC, SR.
Since Vincent has joined USC they have won 3 straight PAC10 titles and an NC. Look for this continue while this guy is out there blocking.
OT: John Ramsey, ALABAMA, SR.
Ramsey returns to Alabama with his 37 starts and solidifies the O-Line for an offense that produces over 500 yards a game. Awags is looking for his 3rd NC and this guy will be huge in letting the QB tear apart defenses.
DL: Robert Ellis, Penn State, SR.
140 tackles and 21 sacks in only 33 starts. Ellis has been quite the force on the Nittany Lion defense since being signed as the #13 defensive lineman. Now as the #1 in the nation look for him to dominate defenses and add to his sack total.
DL: Louis Rosas, Nebraska, JR.*
Signed as a 3-star recruit under former coach Jasonfreeman, Rosas has grown quick and is now one of the top DL in the nation. He brings 8 sacks, 1 FF, and 67 tackles after starting every game in the past 2 seasons. Lsusaint should look to use this guy to pressure QBs and wreak havoc out on the field.
DL: Kevin Walker, Auburn, SR.
Walker is a hidden gem on an Auburn team that has underperformed and hasn’t had the ability to put talent around him. He strides into this season with 11 sacks, 125 tackles, and a safety to his name, but at this point he’s probably looking to the NFL because Auburn doesn’t have much hope.
LB: Bryan Rivera, PENN STATE, SR.
Rivera is used to being the #1 guy. He was the #1 recruit out of high school and now entering his final season he is still the best LB in the nation. 253 tackles and 7 ints will make him demand that quarterbacks account for him.
LB: Dale Cramer, Michigan, SR.*
Cramer’s first full season as a starter was last season where he racked up 88 tackles and 3 sacks. Now that he is in his final season look for him to a big part of the defense in Michigan’s title hopes.
LB: Keith Sanchez, Alabama, SR.
The Crimson tide will rely on Sanchez to captain the defense this season. He returns with 147 tackles, 5 Ints, and 28 pass deflections over 28 starts.
LB: William Cunningham, Arkansas, SR.
Cunningham is trying to become the sack king at Arkansas, racking up 28 sacks over the past 3 seasons. Pair that with his 187 tackles and everyone who faces the Razorbacks should be worried. Hatroq hasn’t won the SEC yet but he’s been close and Cunningham will try to get him there.
CB: Kevin Street, LSU, SR.*
Street will lead the LSU defensive backs this season. With 13 ints and 145 tackles over 28 starts he will make his biggest impact by taking away the oppositions #1 WR. If you have to face the Tigers this season your best option is to avoid this guy.
CB: Ryan Thornton, ALABAMA, JR.
Returning to the Crimson Tide after his first full season as a starter is Thornton. Last season he only pulled in 2 Ints and 63 tackles. Thornton is already considered one of the best in the nation as a Junior. Offenses should take care of the ball when he is on the field and avoid at all costs.
S: Thomas Chapman, Tennessee, SR.*
Chapman has started in 42 games as a volunteer, piling up 166 tackles and 65 pass deflections. This is his final season and under a new head coach he will be looking to make an impact.
S: Clarence Evans, Texas A&M, SR.
The Aggies bring back Evans for his senior season and will look for him to do better then he has the past 3 seasons. Starting in 42 games he has 180 tackles but only 2 ints and for arcadecowboy to finally win a Big12 title he will need Evans to step up and lead the defense.

So there you have it. I think from these lists we can state which teams have higher expectations than others. I know which teams I am going to keep an eye on.
