Jabbering JAG 136.3 (Late Season Check-In)

We are nearing the end of our season, already it seems. This definitely isn't the Wilkinson of DIAA of old as we still have 7 undefeated teams and if playoffs started today there would be 3 sim teams in the playoffs. Just a quick thing to tide everyone over tonight while you watch the remaining college football games today.

A10: NO HUMAN vs HUMAN games

This conference boasts the #1 and #2 ranked teams in the country, after that though... things really fall off. Things definitely seem to be shaking up for another William & Mary vs Maine conference title game.

Big Sky: #8 Weber State vs Eastern Washington - Weber State is performing way above my expectations this season and is playing very well this season. WSU 34-21

Some very improbable teams leading the divisions on both sides right now, just goes to show how deep this conference is. Things should be very interesting in this conference as the season unwinds.

Gateway: #15 Youngstown State @ Southern Illinois - YSU coming off their second loss of the season. SIU is still too much in rebuild mode to keep up in this one. YSU 38-10.

After today's game, everyone seems to be chasing UNI. There are only 3 humans in this conference so we should have our conference title matchup pretty much set after tomorrow's game.

Ivy: NO HUMAN vs HUMAN games

Believe it or not, the IVY was the cream of the crop in Wilkinson but that was some time ago. This conference has some sims who are performing well but only 1 ranked team in the conference and 3 human teams. It seems like the Ivy is down this season and it looks like Princeton and Yale are carving their way to another CC meeting.

MEAC: #4 Delaware State @ #22 Norfolk State - This series has been interesting the last couple of seasons with the winner winning the last 2 conference title games. Norfolk has a lot of youth whereas DSU has a lot of veterans and that is probably the difference here. DSU-30-20

A conference that is pretty quiet but pretty much all of the teams are still in rebuild mode. With how things are shaping up, it looks like the winner of the East division will cruise to a conference title as it looks like they will face a sim in the CC game.

NEC: NO HUMAN vs HUMAN games

This conference is ranked in the bottom portion of conferences but they still have some solid teams. With how things are going this season it looks like the North division is nearly locked up and the winner of Lehigh and Central Connecticut will represent the South in the CC game.

OVC: #11 Eastern Kentucky @#17 Samford - This game features two fantastic coaches and this game is sure to excite. Both teams really could use this win to stay in the division title race. These two teams are very battle tested as they have strong SOS. The defenses look like they could be vulnerable. SAM 35-31

This conference is very interesting this season. Every time I think I have it figured out, I turn around and someone lost who I wouldn't have expected to lose. This is by far still the strongest conference in Wilkinson though and will probably go down to the wire to determine who will play in the CC.

PFL: #9 Drake vs Dayton - At the beginning of the season I would have expected this game to be between two top 15 teams but that isn't the case. Dayton is still struggling to find their groove and Drake looks to still be a formidable team. DRAKE 31-27

One of the more human populated conferences in Wilkinson and it's showing as both divisions still look to be very much up for grabs. The two ranked teams and division leaders look to be the clear favorites to make the CC game but crazy things happen in this world.

SoCon: Elon @ Nicholls State - NSU is a team with a tenured coach still trying to get a solid footing in the world. Elon is still in rebuild mode so this one looks to have all the makings of a classic. Winner of this game likely plays in the CC game. ELON 34-26

This conference looked like it was going to be on the rise over the last couple of seasons but this season they look to only have a couple of solid teams. The winner of the East division looks to be the favorite in the CC game so the West winner is going to look to play spoiler and hurt the seeding of their opposition.

SWAC: #6 Texas Southern vs Liberty - TSU looked like they might be down and out with their early start to the season but they have definitely figured things out this season. A loss here would nearly eliminate Liberty from division title contention and it make things difficult for TSU to continue their conference dominance. TSU 35-20

This conference reminds me of the real life SEC a few seasons ago. One division is absolutely loaded and a gauntlet to play in. The other one only has a couple of good teams but they don't look like they will put up too much of a threat to the winner of the West division in the CC game.
